What will I learn on this course?
You will learn the art of crafting and baking of the traditional treats found at Easter time. In the first week you will make a fruit cake for Simnel cake and also craft a meringue nest for Easter chicks. In the second week you will learn how to create the traditional Easter favourite Hot Cross buns. In the final week of the course, you will dress your Easter Simnel cake and create edible easter chicks.
IMPORTANT: PLEASE INFORM STAFF AT ENROLMENT OF ANY DIETARY REQUIREMENTS (VEGETARIAN, VEGAN) OR ALLERGIES.

What will this course lead on to?
This qualification can lead onto other professional or leisure courses including, an introduction to professional cooking or award in patisserie and dessert making. You may wish to further develop your skills in cake decorating to start you own business.
How will I be assessed?
During your programme you will be assessed by observation of your practical skills, and your tutor will provide feedback throughout.
