Who is this course for? All adults regardless of previous experience who live within the Liverpool City Region (Liverpool, Widnes, Runcorn, St Helens, Knowsley, Sefton, The Wirral).
What is this course about?
This course is an introduction to the world of renewable energy generation, it focuses on the principles of electricity generation and safe working. All current technologies including solar, wind, and tidal will be covered. During this course, you will get the opportunity to try your hand at installing and testing renewable systems. This is a huge growth sector for engineering and will offer future-proofed job roles and careers.
What will I study?
This is a green energy introduction and awareness course. You will explore different maintenance and fabrication techniques to allow you to gain more knowledge about the renewable energy sector, including electrical fault finding and safe isolation and Photovoltaic cell (solar) efficiency and cleaning.
Course content includes the principles of electricity, wind turbine operation and testing, solar installation, and design. This course is designed for all adults regardless of previous experience or current working status.
