Counselling Student Making a Life Changing Move to Australia To Develop Her New Career
Riverside College is proud to celebrate the incredible success of Higher Education Counselling student, Chelsea Ellis -whose inspiring journey will take her all the way to Cairns, Australia, after securing a Youth Worker role starting this September.
Before starting on her Children and Young People degree course at the college, Chelsea worked in a bridal shop, where she developed a passion for supporting others during important moments in their lives. Throughout her studies at Riverside College, she built on this passion, gaining the skills, confidence, and qualifications to progress into a primary school role delivering counselling and therapeutic support to children, putting her learning into practice ahead of her move to Australia.
Chelsea credits the dedicated support from tutors and staff at Riverside College as a key part of her journey, helping her believe in her abilities and achieve more than she thought was possible.
She said “The opportunity to move and work on the other side of the world tells the story itself. Without the course this would have stayed a dream.”
