Bus Update From Monday 28th September 2026

From Monday 28th September, there will be NO ASHCROFTS coach following the 43 from Runcorn. The Warrington’s Own Bus 43 will run as normal, all students should use this service as there is capacity on the bus:

From Monday 28th September, there will be AN ASHCROFTS coach following the Warrington’s Own Bus 50 from Liverpool and Knowsley.

These coaches and all bus routes provided by the college will be monitored and adjusted accordingly to ensure students have the option to use the college bus routes.

Any updates will be made on the college website along with any notifications given by the transport providers

Please note that we have no connection to any Arriva bus services, so you cannot board these for free with your ID Badge.

Important Bus Information:

  • TRACK YOUR BUS WITH WARRINGTON’S OWN APP: 
    You can track the live location of your bus by using the Warrington’s Own Buses. Download the App called Touch and Go Warrington at the App Store or Google Play. 
  • MAP YOUR ROUTE: Please ensure you have used the tools below under Timetables to map your journey to College. Please re-check your timetables as some have changed.
  • END OF DAY: The end of day pick up locations and times will be on posters in reception – please check them at the end of the day. Please note College now finishes at 1.30pm on a Friday and the buses pick up between 1.40pm and 1.50pm.

How and when will I get my bus pass?

If you are a returning student and you had a Warrington’s Own Bus pass last year you will automatically be issued one this year. This QR code is unique to you and therefore your ID card acts as your bus pass. If you did not have a pass last year but wish to have one this year (and you live more than 1.5 miles away from your campus and are studying a substantial course), please see the Bursary team in Programme Management to apply. You will be able to travel on the buses without your pass until you have been given your new ID card during your first week.

If it is your first year, you will be issued your FREE Warrington’s Own Buses bus pass at enrolment. The bus pass will be printed as a QR code on your College ID card. Your College ID card is also your bus pass, so you must keep it safe and you will need it with you to access Warrington’s Own Buses services by scanning it on the bus. If for any reason at enrolment you do not get a pass on your ID card and you wanted one and are eligible, please see the Bursary/Bus Pass team in Programme Management.

Bus Services NOT subsidised by the College:

  • If you would like an Arriva pass you can apply for one directly with them, please see the button in the menu below for more details.
  • If you are travelling within the Liverpool City Region (Halton, Liverpool, Knowsley, St Helens and Sefton) and wish to pay daily for your travel and travel using different bus providers, the best option is a daily MyTicket at £2.20 per day. Just ask for a MyTicket on the bus.

MyTicket:

MyTicket is a one-day bus ticket for young people (aged 5 – 18) which can be used on buses in Merseyside and Halton (THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE the College contract buses). Hop on and off as often as you want – see here for information: MyTicket | Merseytravel
