What will this course lead on to?
Once you have completed your L2 Professional Food and Beverage diploma you can either go into employment within the catering and hospitality industry or progress on to the L3 Food and Beverage Service Supervision diploma.
What will I learn on this course?
You will cover a range of subjects including: Safety at work, Hygiene at work, Security at work, personal skills, menu knowledge, billing, pre-service, table service and beverage service, Silver service, counter service, carvery and buffet service and table drinks service.
There will be a wide range of activities available for you to join, during your Food and Beverage programme, from driving theory, sport activities and a range of leisure.
How will I be assessed?
During the programme you will be assessed in practical work, multiple choice questions and assignment work.
You will learn in our Centre of Excellence in Catering and Hospitality and will work in a newly refurbished and very popular restaurant Scholars. All practical sessions will help give you the practical skills, confidence and the overview of what the catering and hospitality industry can offer.
Are there any costs associated with this course?
As part of your Catering and Hospitality programme you will purchase your uniform for the restaurant (approximately £95). Costs are subject to change for the 2021 courses.
