Riverside College students had the opportunity to show off their incredible talents at the annual Hair and Media Makeup Showcase, an evening of dynamic fashion, hairstyles and makeup.
The sensational apparel on display was modelled by students and provided by retail group Quiz Clothing; the company has worked with the College for the past five years to make the event an impressive fashion presentation.
The evening is designed to promote the hair and media departments of the College, develop student skills and industry prospects while also raising money for the Mayor’s charities.
A showcase provided by Level 3 Media Makeup students was also their end of year assessment, with students demonstrating the various techniques learned throughout the year.
VIP guests were treated to hospitality from catering staff and students, which included a meal at the College’s Scholars Restaurant.
Event organiser and Riverside tutor, Suzanne McGucken, said, “I am delighted with the standard of work which continually improves each year. I am very proud of all the students and staff who took part in this fabulous event.”
Halton Mayor, Councillor Margaret Ratcliffe said “It was a fantastic night and enjoyed by all. The students and staff are very talented and pulled off the fashion show to perfection. I am so pleased that the College have supported my chosen charities by organising such an event and on behalf of all concerned, I can assure that the funds raised will be very well spent.”
