Jenna’s background includes a degree in Makeup Artistry and specialist training in New York, Japan and London. She has applied her skills for TV presenters, celebrities and film stars for a range of top clients including; BBC, BT Sport, Toni & Guy, New York Fashion Week, and Olympus UK. She provided full prosthetic makeup for actors in the 2016 Hollywood film, The Girl with All the Gifts.
Following her training and high profile experience, Jenna has decided to give something back to makeup by taking on the role at Riverside College. She said “My own college education wasn’t the best and I could see as I built up connections in London that the standard of training and knowledge was so much more advanced; I wanted to bring that high level to the North West.”

Jenna continues to work freelance alongside her new teaching role which has benefitted her students enormously. She has been able to use these connections to provide high profile work opportunities for her students by bringing them along to events to help out and improve their CVs with industry experience.
Talented student Chloe Green, from Runcorn, accompanied Jenna to the North West Fashion Festival in October. Chloe worked as part of the team applying makeup for the catwalk models, under head makeup artist Melanie Doyle.

Olivia Wilding, formerly of St Chad’s Catholic & Church of England High School, had the opportunity to work as an assistant for celebrity fashion brand, Gorgeous Couture, where Jenna is the head makeup artist.
Jenna has big plans for the future of the course. Next year, awarding body City & Guilds will be introducing improved changes to the Media Makeup course and Jenna is preparing already with updated lessons based on industry standard practices. She commented “I am looking forward to the planned changes for next year; I am planning exciting projects and more work experience opportunities for my students which will help to create top industry standard makeup artists.”
