Riverside College Hairdressing Department Recognised with Employer Engagement Award
We are delighted to announce that the Riverside College Hairdressing Apprenticeships Team has won the Employer Engagement Award at the prestigious Concept Hair College Recognition Awards, held at Brooksby Hall, Melton Mowbray.
The award recognises colleges that excel in building strong employer partnerships and creating valuable employment opportunities for learners. It reflects the team’s dedication to supporting apprentices and developing outstanding relationships with employers across the hairdressing industry.
This achievement follows Riverside College’s recognition by the Department for Education as one of only thirteen apprenticeship providers across the UK to be invited to join the Expert Apprenticeship Training Provider Pilot. It highlights the college’s commitment to supporting both employers and apprentices through successful partnerships that deliver positive outcomes. With a strong talent pool of learners seeking apprenticeship opportunities, Riverside College provides employers with access to motivated, work-ready individuals who can contribute to business growth and success.
The hairdressing department at the college is committed to developing highly skilled, employable learners. Through additional qualifications, industry workshops and training delivered by experienced tutors, students gain up to date knowledge and practical skills that enable them to produce high quality work and add value to their employers from day one.
Commenting on the achievement, Francine Russell, Hairdressing Tutor at Riverside College, who accepted the award on behalf of the college, said: “I was absolutely delighted when our name was announced. This award recognises the dedication of our apprenticeship team, hairdressing department and employers, whose support and collaboration have been instrumental in helping us build strong partnerships and create outstanding opportunities for our learners and apprentices.”
We also heard from one of our employer partners, Kathryn from Crème de la Crème Hairdressing, who said: “Working in partnership with the college helps us develop future talent while bringing fresh ideas and enthusiasm into the workplace. The collaboration gives us access to motivated, work-ready individuals who understand our business and make a positive contribution to our team.”
Riverside College is incredibly proud to receive this award and would like to thank all our employer partners for their ongoing support and commitment to developing the next generation of hairdressing professionals. Your partnership, guidance, and encouragement have been instrumental in helping us achieve this recognition.
