What is this course about?
The AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting offers technical training in accounting and is ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in accountancy and finance.
The purpose of this qualification is to provide students with the specialist knowledge and skills required for progressing either to employment in an accounting or finance role, or to enable progression to further study in accountancy and finance.
You can either study the Level 3 AAT Advanced Diploma one full day per week or two evenings per week.
What will I learn on this course?
To achieve this Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting, you will study the following mandatory units:
- Advanced Bookkeeping
- Final accounts preparation
- Management accounting costing
- Indirect tax
- Ethics for accountants
- Spreadsheets for accounting
Entry Requirements?
For entry onto this AAT Level 3 course, you should hold the AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting or an equivalent qualification. You must also have achieved GCSEs at grade C or grade 4 or above or Level 2 equivalent in English and Maths.
What are the course fees?

An Advanced Learner Loan is also available for this course. It will fully cover your fees with no repayments until you earn £26,575 or more per year.
This course can be paid in instalments.
In addition to the course fees you will also need to pay a student membership fee directly to the AAT.
How will I be assessed?
The course is assessed through computer based assessments at the end of each unit. You will also undertake an end of year synoptic test once all the unit assessments have been completed.
What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?
After successfully completing this course, you could choose to progress onto our AAT Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting course. Skills developed through this qualification can lead to employment as:
