What is this course about?
The AAT Diploma in Accounting offers technical training in accounting and is ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in accountancy and finance.
The purpose of this qualification is to provide students with the specialist knowledge and skills required for progressing either to employment in an accounting or finance role, or to enable progression to further study in accountancy and finance.
You can either study the AAT Diploma in Accounting one full day per week or two evenings per week.
What will I learn on this course?
To achieve this AAT Diploma in Accounting, you will study the following four mandatory units:
- Business Awareness
- Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements
- Management Accounting Techniques
- Tax Processes for Businesses
Entry Requirements?
For entry onto this AAT Level 3 course, you should hold the AAT Certificate in Accounting or an equivalent qualification. You must also have achieved GCSEs at grade C or grade 4 or above or Level 2 equivalent qualification in English and maths.

If you are 19 or over and studying a level 3 qualification you may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan. These loans will cover the full course fee for the duration of your course.

This course can be paid in instalments.
In addition to the course fees you will also need to pay a Registration Fee directly to the AAT. This is currently £225 for Level 3. (Payable once you have started the course).
How will I be assessed?
The course is assessed through computer based assessments at the end of each unit.
What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?
After successfully completing this course, you could choose to progress onto our AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting course. Skills developed through this qualification can lead to employment as:
