Course overview:
This qualification is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding required to support the safe handling of medication within health and social care settings.
This qualification aims to:
- Ensure learner’s have a general understanding of different types of medication and their use.
- Provide learner’s with knowledge of the procedures for obtaining, storing, administering and disposing of medication.
- Provide knowledge of the procedures for obtaining, storing, administering and disposing of medication.
- Develop learner’s understanding of the record-keeping process for medication.
The objective of this qualification is to:
- To develop learners’ knowledge and understanding of the safe handling of medication, including the procedures, legislation, responsibilities, and record-keeping practices required to support safe and effective medication management within care settings.
