This course is ideal for anyone who wants to work as an electrician. On the course you will learn, develop and practice the skills required to succeed in this industry.
This level 3 course will develop further practical and theoretical electrical skills to enable progression to an apprenticeship in Electrical Installation or employment in electrical or affiliated industries.
You will cover compulsory aspects such as:

Achievement of Electrical Installation at Level 2 or equivalent (C&G 2330 Level 2 or C&G 2365 Level 2) and GCSE English and Maths at 9 – 4 (A* – C) Applicants must sit the Level 3 Electrical Installation Test.

What will I learn on this course?
On this course you will learn how to work safely and competently in an electrical environment and develop the practical skills essential for employment in the industry.
You will also have tutorial sessions which will involve 1 to 1 discussions with your personal tutor to monitor your progress and support you during your course.
You may have the opportunity to represent the College in national competitions such as UK Skill-build. Enrichment activities such as 5 a side football, model car racing, practical projects and many more.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through a number of Theory exams, observations during practical sessions, final practical assessments and a range of course work assignments. The extended learning modules will be completed in the students own time. A high level of commitment is required for this course.

Learners will be expected to purchase a recommended course book, and provide their own safety footwear and overalls.
