Course overview:
This qualification will provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of issues surrounding different types of learning disabilities and how these affect individuals in their daily lives, including safeguarding, positive risk taking and an awareness of the autistic spectrum.
Assessments:
- Unit 1: Understand the context of supporting individuals with learning disabilities
- Unit 2: Safeguarding and protection of individuals with learning disabilities
- Unit 3: Introduction to personalisation for individuals with learning disabilities
- Unit 4: Principles of positive risk taking for individuals with learning disabilities
- Unit 5: Awareness of autistic spectrum conditions
- Unit 6: Understand ways of supporting individuals with a learning disability to access healthcare
This qualification aims to:
- Develop learners knowledge of ways to support individuals with learning disabilities.
The objective of this qualification is to:
- Prepare learners for roles within the workplace or community where knowledge of supporting individuals with learning disabilities is beneficial.
Learning method:
