Course overview:
This qualification is designed to allow learners to develop knowledge of mental health in children and young people which can support progression onto further qualifications and into relevant employment in the health and social care or education sectors.
Assessments:
- Unit 1: Understand children and young people’s mental health in context
- Unit 2: Understand factors which may affect children and young people’s mental health
- Unit 3: Understand the impact of children and young people’s mental health concerns
- Unit 4: Understand children and young people’s mental health concerns
- Unit 5: Understand how to support children and young people with mental health concerns
This qualification aims to:
- Increase the learner’s knowledge and awareness of children and young people’s mental health.
The purpose of this qualification is to:
- Support progression onto further qualifications and into relevant employment in the health and social care or education sectors.
Learning method:
Studying via Remote E-Learning means you can choose when and where you study. We ensure that you get all the support you need throughout your course in the form of a personal tutor.

During your course, a member of the team will contact you at least once a month. It is important that you are available to respond to this communication.
To help you stay on track, you will be provided with unit submission deadlines. Your first unit must be submitted within four weeks of your enrolment date.
