Course overview:
The purpose of this qualification is to allow learners to demonstrate understanding of data protection and data security. It will help learners progress to a work role where data protection and data security knowledge is required.
Assessments:
- Unit 1: Understand current data protection legislation
- Unit 2: Understand organisational procedures concerning data
- Unit 3: Understand threats to ICT systems and data
- Unit 4: Understand the consequences of not protecting data
This qualification aims to:
- Enable learners to understand current data legislation.
- Inform learners on how to protect their own data and protect ICT systems from common threats.
- Inform learners of the consequences of not protecting data and systems.
The objective of this qualification is to:
- Enable learners to understand steps organisations might take to help protect data.
Learning method:
Studying via Remote E-Learning means you can choose when and where you study. We ensure that you get all the support you need throughout your course in the form of a personal tutor.

To help you stay on track, you will be provided with unit submission deadlines. Your first unit must be submitted within four weeks of your enrolment date.
