Course overview:
The purpose of the Level 2 Certificate in Understanding in Personal Care Needs is to give learners specialist knowledge to support their work within the social care and healthcare sectors.
Assessments:
- Unit 1: Understand person-centred approach
- Unit 2: Understand how to support personal hygiene
- Unit 3: Understand pressure area care
- Unit 4: Understand foot care for individuals
- Unit 5: Understand how to support individuals to maintain oral health
- Unit 6: Understand sepsis
This qualification aims to:
- Focus on the study of personal care needs in the health and social care sectors.
The objective of this qualification is to:
- Provide learner’s with specialist knowledge of how to support an individual with personal care needs.
Learning method:
Studying via Remote E-Learning means you can choose when and where you study. We ensure that you get all the support you need throughout your course in the form of a personal tutor.

During your course, a member of the team will contact you at least once a month. It is important that you are available to respond to this communication.
To help you stay on track, you will be provided with unit submission deadlines. Your first unit must be submitted within four weeks of your enrolment date.
