Future Nurses visit John Moores
Riverside College and Cronton Sixth Form students recently had the exclusive opportunity to meet the health team and students at Liverpool John Moores University, gaining an insight into the university courses and facilities.
Students were able to access the realistic working environment resources, including access to the simulated ambulance and midwifery suite. John Moore’s student mentors provided learners with a tour of the accommodation and department facilities.
Karen Cunliffe, Health and Social Care Programme Area Leader, said “We cannot thank the staff and students enough for their welcome and generosity. The health team commented on the excellent conduct and interaction of our students. Our learners are now better equipped with employability skills to prepare them with prospective future careers in higher education.”
Dr Susan Ashton, Pre-Registration Nursing Programme Manager, said, “It was lovely to see so many students who may be considering coming to Liverpool John Moores University to study Nursing or Allied Health.
“It was clear to see that the students were actively engaged in the event and took opportunities to ask questions and seek clarification on admissions procedures and placement opportunities. The students were a credit to Riverside College.”
