Hairdressing and make up students from Riverside College put on a fabulous display of talent at the annual showcase last week.
The event was in partnership with Quiz Clothing with the Riverside students not only creating the styling, hair and makeup of the models but some of the students modelled in the catwalk show themselves.
The first part for the showcase allowed the students to gain some fantastic catwalk experience, as they created hair and makeup to compliment the clothing supplied by Quiz Clothing.
The second half of the showcase really showed of the student’s talent and creative flair as they based their own themes and ideas on London Fashion Week, creating the whole look of the models.
Suzanne McGucken, Hairdressing Tutor at Riverside College and organiser of the showcase said, “I am extremely proud of the Hairdressing and Media Make Up students and the artistic team at Riverside College, they all worked really hard to create such an amazing showcase. It was a great opportunity for them to demonstrate what they have learnt so far on their courses and everyone was impressed by the standards. We were also able to raise £400 for the Widnes and Runcorn Cancer Care Centre.”
Emma McCaffery, Area Manager for Quiz Clothing said, “I was amazed at the overall result the students at Riverside College managed to achieve. I will definitely look forward to working with the College again.”
