Days/Evenings per week: 2 ½ days per week
The aim of this 1 year course is to top up your Foundation Degree or HND Sport to a BA (Hons) and maximise your employability. It will prepare you for employment in a range of careers including PE teaching, sports development and sports coaching.

I joined Cronton Sixth Form in August 2019 and teach on the Foundation Degree in Sport Coaching and PE and BA (Hons) Sport Coaching and Sport Development (Top Up) alongside teaching on our BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Sport where I am Course Team Leader.

I decided to do the Degree in Sport after a couple of years of working in primary schools as an activity professional teaching PE. I also worked in a special working a 1:1 and a teaching assistant. I realised I wanted a career as a teacher and I needed a degree to get onto a teaching training course and complete a PGCE.
