Riverside College is recognised as one of the top six colleges nationally!
This week staff at Riverside College received news that they have been shortlisted for the Times Education national award for Outstanding Leadership.
The Times Education Supplement (TES), which is the leading national education publication, recognises exceptional colleges through their annual Further Education Awards. These prestigious accolades are given to colleges that demonstrate exceptional practice in the sector following a rigorous selection process.
Michael Sheehan, Riverside College Principal said, “We are delighted to have been recognised as one of the top six colleges nationally for outstanding leadership. This achievement acknowledges the exceptional work of all the staff and students at the College who have contributed to us being able to put together such a strong submission.”
Riverside’s entry into the awards was strengthened by the exceptional results it achieves for its students. This year the College was ranked 4th nationally by the Department for Education in their quality performance table. There was a 99.6% A level pass rate and a 99% vocational pass rate. Moreover, the College has just received the analysis of the independent Alps survey which indicates the College is in the top 10% nationally for added value in both A level and vocational courses.
Winners will be presented with their awards at a ceremony which is being held in November this year.
