Course overview:
This qualification is designed to give learners specialist knowledge of how to support an individual who is living with cancer. This qualification would be ideal for learners who currently work in the care sector or anybody who would like to progress into the care sector.
Assessments:
- Unit 1: Cancer awareness
- Unit 2: Introduction to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer
- Unit 3: Introduction to cancer care and support
- Unit 4: Introduction to end of life and bereavement care
This qualification aims to:
- Focus on the study of cancer support in the health and social care sector.
The purpose of this qualification is to:
- Provide knowledge of what cancer is, it’s diagnosis and treatment.
- Provide understanding of the support needs of people living with cancer.
Learning method:
Studying via Remote E-Learning means you can choose when and where you study. We ensure that you get all the support you need throughout your course in the form of a personal tutor.
This course is available Fully online.
During your course, a member of the team will contact you at least once a month. It is important that you are available to respond to this communication.
To help you stay on track, you will be provided with unit submission deadlines. Your first unit must be submitted within four weeks of your enrolment date.
