Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Common Childhood Illnesses

Course overview:
This qualification is designed to increase learners’ knowledge and understanding of common childhood illnesses, including how to recognise symptoms, provide appropriate support, and respond to health concerns. It is aimed at those working with or caring for infants and children, enabling them to contribute positively to children’s health, development, and overall well-being.

Assessments:

• Unit 1: Understand how to provide a safe and healthy environment for babies and young children
• Unit 2: Understand common childhood illnesses
• Unit 3: Understand health emergencies and specific health conditions in an early years setting

This qualification aims to:

• Increase learners’ knowledge and understanding of common childhood illnesses

The objective of this qualification is to:

• Develop learner’s knowledge and understanding of health concerns relating to children
• Develop learners’ knowledge and understanding of supporting children with health conditions by educating them on how to provide appropriate and effective care and support

Learning method:
Studying via Remote E-Learning means you can choose when and where you study. We ensure that you get all the support you need throughout your course in the form of a personal tutor.
