Course Overview/What is this course about?
- Introduction to Health and Safety in construction
- To learn about mortar ratios.
- To construct brick, block and cavity walls
- To learn pointing and jointing skills.
Why choose this course?
To learn how to carry out traditional brickwork tasks including masonry repairs, being able to construct small garden walls and planters or even a BBQ!

What will I learn on this course?
- Health and Safety in the workplace
- How to set out, gauge and build a brick garden wall.
- How to point/joint new or damaged masonry.
How will I learn and be assessed?
You will be tutored and assessed by an experienced member of staff from the brickwork department.
