Course overview:
This qualification is designed for learners who are looking to gain an introduction to coding. It will support the learner to progress into further study and support those interested in progressing to employment in a coding or IT related role.
Assessments:
- Unit 1: Understand the principals of coding
- Unit 2: Understand terminology used in coding
- Unit 3: Understand coding design principals
- Unit 4: Understand the processes and practice of coding
- Unit 5: Understand the importance of communication and project management in coding
This qualification aims to:
- Focus on an introduction to coding within the digital sector.
The purpose of this qualification is to:
- Provide the learner with knowledge of the principles of coding and different coding types.
- Enable the learner to gain an understanding of effective communication and project management in coding.
Learning method:
Studying via Remote E-Learning means you can choose when and where you study. We ensure that you get all the support you need throughout your course in the form of a personal tutor.

During your course, a member of the team will contact you at least once a month. It is important that you are available to respond to this communication.
To help you stay on track, you will be provided with unit submission deadlines. Your first unit must be submitted within four weeks of your enrolment date.
