
Riverside College proudly launched its Centre of Excellence for Counselling, in recognition of the outstanding success of the College’s counselling courses over the past 20 years.
Riverside College has over 300 students enrolled on a variety of courses, from Level 2 introductory courses, through to degree level in both adult and children & young people’s counselling, in partnership with the University of Staffordshire.
We have worked closely with local organisations and employers to ensure that the curriculum meets the current, future local and regional skills needs. The Centre of Excellence will continue to deliver high standard courses which promote confidence and employability skills in future counsellors.

Outstanding Results
The counselling department at Riverside College has celebrated a consistent track record of exceptional high pass rates and the successful transition of graduates into the world of work.
Last academic year, 97% of students achieved high grades in their Honours Degrees, with 61% earning First Class degrees and 71% achieving Distinctions at Foundation Degree level.
