Hydrogen is recognised as playing a valuable role in delivering low carbon heating and power for UK buildings and industrial processes. The Liverpool City Region is ideally positioned to take full advantage of the new skilled jobs within the sector, including hydrogen specialist pipe welders & fabricators and maintenance engineering technicians. Working with industry, we have designed courses aimed at equipping learners with the skills and knowledge required to consider a role with the fast-growing sector. The courses also explore what high-intensity up-skilling and re-training opportunities could be provided to allow skilled adults to move from one sector to another.
