What is this course about?
This level 2 qualification has been specifically designed to develop practical skills in promoting relaxation and wellbeing whilst helping to reduce stress by the use of complementary massage techniques. The awarding body has introduced a “Covid safety assured” qualification for the beauty and complementary therapy industry, that you will required to complete.

Working at Level 1 in English on our college assessment or minimum GCSE grade D/3 or Level 1 qualification in English. You may have a college admissions interview.
What will I learn on this course?
This course includes:
- Client consultation
- Health and safety
- Anatomy of the head and scalp
- Therapeutic massage techniques using oils and conditioners
- You will also complete an Award in Infection Prevention (Covid 19) with a online assessment
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed throughout your course by practical observation and your theoretical understanding will be assessed through the completion of an assignment. You will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence. The Award in Infection Prevention (Covid 19) contains an online assessment

Are there any other costs associated with this course?
You will have the option to purchase a tunic (approximately £25.00 plus postage and packing), Costs are subject to change for 2022. You must also wear full length black trousers and a full black shoe. You will have to provide files etc. for your course work and photographic evidence may be required for practical assessments. We will advise you about where and when to purchase the tunic when we call to enrol you on the course.
What will this course lead on to?
On successful completion of this course you will be able to progress onto the Hopi Ear Candling qualification which is part of the complementary therapies, suite of qualifications. On achievement of the head massage qualification, it can be used in salons, clinics. Wellbeing community settings or as part of a self-employed business.
