FAQ
I have just received my results and I haven’t got what I need for the course I want to do, what can I do?
Firstly, please try not to panic, our Advice and Guidance team will be on hand at your planned appointment, and you will be able to discuss all your options with them.
We understand this can be a stressful time and if you feel that you need to ask any questions prior to your appointment, please call us on 0151 257 2022.
I want to change my course
If you have changed your mind and would like to change your course, you still need to stick to your original enrolment appointment. Please tell us when you arrive at college, and you will be able to discuss your course change with our Advice and Guidance Team and ask any further questions from the college tutors before you enrol on a new course.
My enrolment appointment isn’t until next week, can I come in as soon as I pick up my results/will it affect my chances of getting onto the course?
No, please don’t come straight to college, the date of your appointment will not affect your place. Some of your friends may have already had their appointment and enrolled at college but please don’t worry, we have reserved your place and are holding it for you! This allows us to complete your enrolment as quickly and smoothly as possible.
When do I sort out my bus pass and enquire about the college bursary?
If you are entitled to a college bursary you can apply online as soon as you have enrolled on your course. During enrolment you will receive a password to access the College Student Intranet. You will then be able to apply for your student bursary. Click here to find out more about financial support.
If you live more than 1.5 miles from the college your FREE College Bus Pass will automatically be added to your student ID at enrolment. Click here to find out more information about the FREE college buses.
I haven’t applied for college yet or I did apply but didn’t go to my interview and haven’t got an offer of a place, what can I do?
Our September 2023 courses are now closed for 16 – 18 year olds. Please keep checking back to our website for information about any extra availability on our courses.
FAQ
Are you still accepting applications for Adult, Access and Higher Education courses starting in September?
Yes, we are.
Further information can be found by visiting:
https://www.riversidecollege.ac.uk/he-adult-courses/
We are still accepting applications for most of our courses. Some of our courses are already oversubscribed in terms of the number of applications against places. If this is the case, you can still apply, and you will join our waiting list. These courses are indicated on the website and online application form.
Spaces are not allocated until we enrol on the courses in late August/early September at our enrolment events. Applying now means that we have your information to invite you to enrolment. Please note that our courses are very popular and often oversubscribed. Places are only secured at enrolment and enrolment appointments are allocated based on date of application.
