What is this course about?
This qualification gives you the opportunity to investigate the knowledge and skills needed to use counselling skills and engage in a helping interaction appropriately. This qualification is useful for anyone who uses (or would like to use) counselling skills at work or in a personal capacity.
What will I learn on this course?
You will have an opportunity to identify and practise a range of skills used when participating in counselling skills interactions. You will also be introduced to the key elements of the main theoretical approaches to counselling as well as the concepts of diversity and ethics and their importance in the use of counselling skills. You will have an opportunity to reflect on your personal and future development and identify potential sources of support.

What are the Entry Requirements?
GCSE grade D/3 or Level 1 English qualification or working at Level 1 in English on our college assessment.
