The exciting and innovative courses in Health, Care, and Health Professionals course at Riverside College provide students with invaluable experience in our Clinical Practice Ward and Social Care Room.
An integral part of these courses is the completion of a range of placements. At Riverside, students benefit from our innovative partnerships with the NHS and Community Integrated Care (CIC) which offers students a wide range of prestigious placements in settings including hospitals, mental health care settings, care homes, SEN schools and social work agencies.
Students must have a clear DBS.

Placements
Gaining practical experience is vital in this industry and our courses provide students with exceptional opportunities through our extensive placement programme at Levels 1, 2 and 3. Students will undertake placements in a variety of settings depending on their chosen career path. Placements include settings such as hospitals, primary schools, mental health settings, dentists and social work agencies.

Entry Requirements
Level 3
A minimum of five 9-4 GCSE subject grades, including English Language and Maths. Students must also have a clear DBS.
Level 2
A minimum of four 9-3 GCSE subject grades, including English Language and Maths. Students must also have a clear DBS.
Level 1
A minimum of four 9-2 GCSE subject grades, including English Language.

Following the Level 3 you can progress to degrees in Adult & Children’s Nursing, Mental Health & Learning Disability Nursing, Social Care, Youth Work and Public Health as well as degrees in other allied health professions such as paramedics, radiography, operation department practitioner, midwifery, occupational therapy and podiatry etc.
