Riverside College have been host to a fantastic fundraising sale event held by local charity Stick ‘N’ Step, in conjunction with online fashion retailer Boohoo.com. The event raised a huge £1,500 for the charity and has been labelled a “great success” by Community Fundraiser at Stick ‘N’ Step, Kelly Marks.
The all-day fundraiser was made possible by the generosity of Boohoo who donated 55 boxes of brand new clothing for the charity. Staff members and students at the College played their part during the event by helping the charity with set up and sales, and purchased items to help raise money. Riverside College and Stick ‘N’ Step have built a great relationship at previous successful fundraisers, including pamper events and beauty evenings to raise money for the charity.
Stick ‘N’ Step are a local charity that raises money for children and young people with cerebral palsy and provides support for their families. As the charity does not receive any statutory funding from the government these fundraisers are vitally important to Stick ‘N’ Step.
Kelly Marks, Community Fundraiser also said, “The day and the support has been so fantastic and we as a charity would hope that we are able to come in to the College and do more fundraising events in the future.”
