The Construction and Building Services department at Riverside College has a reputation for delivering outstanding success for students making it the number one provider in the area. We are up to date with modern industry standards and practices and will help and prepare you for work in today’s industries. We work closely with Mersey Link, the company who are building the Mersey Gateway which is the biggest construction project in Europe to offer students work placements, apprenticeships and progression into employment.

Entry Requirements
Level 3
Completion of an appropriate Level 2 qualification in the relevant construction discipline.
Level 2
4 GCSEs grade 9 – 3 including English Language and Maths, you will also subject to a Trade Entrance Test at Enrolment or successful completion of a relevant Level 1 course.
Level 1
A minimum of four 9-2 GCSE subject grades, including Maths and English Language.
Entry Level
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However you will need a keen interest in this subject and have a good level of English Language.
What could these courses lead on to?
At Riverside College you can progress through the levels from Entry Level to Level 3. By achieving qualifications in Construction and Building Services you will be able to access a wide range of employment opportunities and apprenticeships with local, national and global employers. Following the Level 3 courses many students progress on to higher level technical courses to develop organisational skills and take up managerial responsibility.
